About the deck
The Herd of God Tarot is the working instrument of a living religion. These cards are not illustrations of a set of beliefs; they are those beliefs, cut into seventy-eight pieces so they can be dealt. This site is the deck’s durable digital form — it stands on its own even if only one physical copy is ever printed.
It keeps the old skeleton exactly: twenty-two Major Arcana, fifty-six Minor Arcana in four suits, and the Rider-Waite-Smith symbolism beneath every card. Each card also carries its place on the Tree of Life openly. If you have read cards before, everything is where you left it.
When a card confuses you, that is the question to bring back to it: what is being asked to die here, so that its gift can run free?
